Hunger is estimated to kill 7,000 citizens every day in India - and this was true even before the pandemic. Now millions more have been pushed to starvation, with impoverished families struggling to access food and rations since COVID cost people their livelihoods. While the coronavirus continues to wreak havoc, experts have warned that hunger is looming large as the next health crisis - ironic in a country which is one of the largest food producers in the world.
Provide a week’s worth of basic food essentials to a family for just ₹500, or give ₹2,000 and feed them for a month. Each weekly ration kit contains daal, rice, salt, oil, atta, masala, tea, sugar etc. These kits will be distributed in various areas of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar and Tamil Nadu by our NGO partners.
Don’t let hunger be the invisible epidemic. Just because it is being suffered silently by the voiceless instead of overwhelming our health infrastructure like COVID-19 has done, does not mean it doesn't exist. Say no to the silence of hunger.
